His appropriate technology research has had specific focus on technologies for water treatment and conservation,renewable energy production using solar and biomass resources, and waste management and resource recovery. "

    "Dr.Shukla superannuated as Advisor(Bio-energy),from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy,Govt.of India,New Delhi in September 2011 after working for about 29 years. During the period of 29 years, he had worked for 16 different programmes and activities related to biogas energy. He had obtained Ph.D.degree from Banaras Hindu University in Physics and worked at IIT Delhi,IIT Kanpur,IIT Madras,IISc Bangalore and CSMCRI Bhavnagar as a senior scientific officer,scientist,post-doctoral fellow and researcher,besides working in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in various positions. He had published/prepared about 100 research publications,reports,documents and articles."

He published Fifteen books including six text books were published in Bio-energy for the Under graduates and Post Graduates students.Eighteen manuals were published for the students in order to equip them with more practical skill and hand on training.He established a bio-energy laboratory in Agricultural Engineering College. He introduced a new course on CDM and carbon trading for better employment opportunities for the Energy and Environmental engineering students. "

    "Dr.G.P.Govil had around 42 years of experience in Teaching,Research and Industry. He is a consultant to Energy Division of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Infrastructure Wardha Project(MGIRI)-IIT Delhi and RuTAG Project for conservation of Diesel Engine to Biogas Engine at IIT Delhi. His research area is Gaseous Fuel Engines and has designed and developed a Biogas Generator for the benefit for rural people.He guided 30 projects at undergraduate and 8 projects at Post Graduate level. The main area of his research interest is to develop Engine System to enable efficient utilisation of Biomass based renewable gaseous fuels such as Biogas and Producer gas. "
